I was a vegetarian at age 9. I got sick and my parents told me, “See, you need protein”. No that was not the issue. My problem was I was detoxing. I was eating more salads and less garbage. My parents cooked a bit healthier at that time. So I was getting healthier, but no one knew.
Now I’m nearly 29 and I know now that meat is important. And no one can tell me, “I told you so.” Here’s an F to U ha ha ha. No one, but my own homework helped me to what I am about to say. I learned that there are special measures made to ensure that we are addicted to food. Meat is enhanced and altered incredibly.
The problem with meat is not that it comes from an animal, the problem lies in how the meat factories kill and how dirty everything is. The treatment of -THOSE- animals are HORRIFIC and very sad. The employees are disgruntled because slaughter houses really abuse their own. I absolutely HATE slaughter houses and how mass meat packaging and killing is done.
I have a huge problem with the idea that animals were killed in such a grueling barbaric way. Why don’t people hunt any more???
Joel Salatin is my hero. He’s amazing. He’s a farmer for Polyface farms. He is a pioneer in the fashion that he is standing up for farmers rights. He eats meat. He made me realize that trace minerals are important. Minerals are depleting from our earths surface really quickly. In turn, we are losing precious mineral content.
What the issue is, is the quality of that steak. Did the live on a farm with space, clean water and clean grass? No antibiotics, steroids or hormones is the best way to go. Eating meat is ok. Yeah I said it. It’s vital and we are omnivorous not vegetarians. Although we can live that way and certain people find rewards being vegan. I was happy being a vegetarian. I still didn’t feel right.
After a week of 90% organic food I felt more alive.
