*Renounced Vegan*

I was a vegetarian at age 9. I got sick and my parents told me, “See, you need protein”. No that was not the issue. My problem was I was detoxing. I was eating more salads and less garbage. My parents cooked a bit healthier at that time. So I was getting healthier, but no one knew.

Now I’m nearly 29 and I know now that meat is important. And no one can tell me, “I told you so.” Here’s an F to U ha ha ha. No one, but my own homework helped me to what I am about to say. I learned that there are special measures made to ensure that we are addicted to food. Meat is enhanced and altered incredibly.

The problem with meat is not that it comes from an animal, the problem lies in how the meat factories kill and how dirty everything is. The treatment of -THOSE- animals are HORRIFIC and very sad. The employees are disgruntled because slaughter houses really abuse their own. I absolutely HATE slaughter houses and how mass meat packaging and killing is done.

I have a huge problem with the idea that animals were killed in such a grueling barbaric way. Why don’t people hunt any more???

Joel Salatin is my hero. He’s amazing. He’s a farmer for Polyface farms. He is a pioneer in the fashion that he is standing up for farmers rights. He eats meat. He made me realize that trace minerals are important. Minerals are depleting from our earths surface really quickly. In turn, we are losing precious mineral content.

What the issue is, is the quality of that steak. Did the live on a farm with space, clean water and clean grass? No antibiotics, steroids or hormones is the best way to go. Eating meat is ok. Yeah I said it. It’s vital and we are omnivorous not vegetarians. Although we can live that way and certain people find rewards being vegan. I was happy being a vegetarian. I still didn’t feel right.

After a week of 90% organic food I felt more alive.

*Beauty by instinct*

I have used these things for a skin care regimen for some time now. Maybe about 3 years now I have been using coconut oil as make up remover. I have used Organic Apple Cider Vinegar for the Malic acid (an Alphahydroxy acid) I have used green tea bags on my skin for the caffeine and amazing EGCG effects.

I have used baking soda as a exfoliate and washed my skin with grapefruit peels. Both these are perfect. All of these are natural. Most importantly you aren’t sacrificing a lot of money for a skin care date.

Avocados are really great for a mask. Blend up some strawberries and make a mask. I have made an oat mask with avocado.

All these foods did wonderful things to my skin. I rarely have blemishes. I don’t have wrinkles and my skin tone is great. You can put yogurt on your face too. I actually really like to add essential oil to coconut oil and brown sugar and mix it all up and make a hand and face scrub with that. It feels amazing!!!!

*Essential oils #2* —

*Essential oils #2*

There is so much to learn about essential oils that I needed it to be a two part post.

Don’t buy into the Doterra and Young Living hype. It’s not that they aren’t great products. It’s that they over price the hell out of essential oils. Plant matter should not cost that much and they suggest you ingest “recipes”. They both have a recipe for a “flu bomb” which includes a variety of different oils.

A great reputable company is Plant Therapy. They don’t need pushy reps. and YES THEY ARE PUSHY.

Best uses for EO’s:

Baby wipes

Sleep rubs

Disenfectents

Bath soaks and foot soaks

Air fresheners

Vapor rub

Immunity booster- Use externally. I don’t think there is enough information yet on the benefits of taking EO’s internally.

Cleaning spray

Beauty masks

Goo Gone

Aids for:

Depression, Anxiety, Digestion, Sleep, Muscle aches, Head aches

If you use EO’s instead of over the counter medications for the flu, you can save lots of money. You are sick twice as long using fever reducers and mucus controllers etc… The best plan for if you get sick is to treat the symptoms of your flu or cold. Fevers can be used to help your body get rid of the bug. The body heats up to kill the infection. If you use a OTC cold remedy you extend how long your fever is. If your fever stays at under 108.0 *F you’re gonna be ok. It takes a long time to get a fever to go up. So if you have mucus use a home made vapor rub using coconut oil and Rosemary and Eucalyptus EO’s. The rosemary and eucalyptus are natural expectorants.

Your skin will absorb these oils and help heal you internally. EO’s cross the blood brain barrier where other OTC remedies do not. So, you get the benefits aromatically, topically and then internally.

You do not receive vitamins from oils. These are in lipid form so you aren’t able to utilize the vitamin content. The molecules are different for oils and vitamins.

1 drop of peppermint oil is equivalent to 28 bags of peppermint tea. Peppermint is anti nausea. If you are sick with vomiting peppermint could help you. Ginger as well.

Lavender can help you sleep. It also helps with headaches. Peppermint does too.

Black Pepper oil is amazing for boosting the immune system. Mix this oil with coconut oil and rub on bottoms of the feet.

Essential oils are amazing.

*Essential oils are Essential*

EO1

It’s been a long time since I’ve published anything on here. The whole time I was learning. I have learned so much more than I ever thought possible. Eventually I learned about essential oils. I learned a crap ton so I’ll get to the point.

Essential oils have been used for literally centuries. I can’t believe that I didn’t know anything about them. I bought $200 worth of oils from a very popular manufacturer. DoTerra brand was my first experience and I loved them I even became a distributor.

I did a lot of homework. I have read and agree that you should always dilute the oils before use. Unless you know first hand what it does to you personally. I think if it helps you to use them “Neet” (That’s without a carrier oil.) Then do so, but I use them with coconut oil. Organic, extra virgin, cold pressed. <— the works 🙂

I use Lavender oil, Lemon oil, Peppermint oil almost daily. My personal favorite is Grapefruit, Rose and Lime. These oils are perfect for making everything you need in your medicine cabinet. Rosemary oil is very similar and effective to the ingredients in Vic’s. If you mix a few drops of Rosemary with Eucalyptus into Coconut oil you got yourself your vapor-rub.

I use black pepper mixed with coconut oil in a jar. This is to help amp up the immune system. I use this a lot during flu season.

I use 2 drops of lavender oil in my baby’s bath. It helps my girl to calm down. I also made my own baby wipes and used lavender oil in them. It really helped prevent diaper rash. Speaking of which, my daughter hasn’t had a diaper rash this whole year.

EO2

From what I’ve noticed parents who use EO’s have their one brand and they will stick by it no matter what ethics the company practices. (If you really dig just a little deeper you’ll find what I’m talking about.) I love using the brand Plant Therapy. Their oils are equivalent to the more expensive brands. I also tried Eden’s Garden and liked some of their products. Both companies have much lower costs than other brands, but don’t take it out of the product. It’s a great cost for what you get. Just don’t get caught paying $30 for lavender oil. EVER.

But these are just my experiences. I just want to give people an idea of what they can do besides take crappy “medicines” that end up making you sicker longer and who knows what the long term side effects are.

*Cannabis Theory* —

*Cannabis Theory*

I believe that since we all have THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol: Main component of cannabis) receptors in our brains, that we are all constantly THC deficient.

It’s a fact that breast milk contains cannabinoids. That without the CBD’s  in the milk the infants would starve to death. They need this nutrient in order to keep coming back to the breast for more milk. When I found this out I was astonished. Go look it up.

Humans have THC receptors in the brain. Thus, we are programmed to get THC already!

And since we do not have a consistent flow of THC in the body for our receptors it must be taken as a supplement!

I think we are all THC deficient and that is why a lot of people are uptight and angry.

You can’t control the human body.

Keeping cannabis illegal is harming our health.

Ok, lets just get this part over with. Sorry for the caps….

Repeat after me:

WE ALL KNEW SODA WAS BAD FOR US TO BEGIN WITH.

What is a soda made of?

Chemicals, carbonation and sugar.

Those are the basic components of soda. Ok, none of these are very healthy.

I love not drinking soda. I was never the type that loved soda. I tried to get myself to like diet coke. Then I became addicted to diet coke. Then I read about Aspartame and how it’s linked to autism and other complications.

You can see my blog about Aspartame under “Sweet Misery”

Soda is bad for us. Drink water.

Monsanto Bt Toxins Damage Red Blood Cells

Lowlands Community Garden

The Lowlands Community Garden will grow only from genuine non-GMO heirloom seeds.  We say NO to Monsanto!

Independent scientific studies continue to expose the harmful effects of Genetically Modified Organisms.  We feel that it’s vitally important that we grow produce that is wholesome, nourishing and safe and so we choose only non-GMO seed.

“Scientists tested levels ranging from 27 mg to 270 mg over a seven day period, it was remarkably evident that the Cry toxins were hemotoxic, even at the lowest doses administered. Hemotoxins destroy red blood cells, disrupt blood clotting and cause organ degeneration and tissue damage.

The number of RBC’s, (red blood cells) as well as their size, were significantly reduced, and so were the levels of hemoglobin for oxygen to attach to. Every factor regarding RBC’s indicated some level of damage for all levels of toxin administered and across all cry proteins. The tests clearly demonstrated…

Former GMO scientists say’s “NO” to GMO.

Lowlands Community Garden

“There are no long-term feeding studies performed in these countries to demonstrate the claims that engineered corn and soya are safe. All we have are scientific studies out of Europe and Russia, showing that rats fed engineered food die prematurely.

These studies show that proteins produced by engineered plants are different than what they should be. Inserting a gene in a genome using this technology can and does result in damaged proteins. The scientific literature is full of studies showing that engineered corn and soya contain toxic or allergenic proteins.

Genetic engineering is 40 years old. It is based on the naive understanding of the genome based on the One Gene – one protein hypothesis of 70 years ago, that each gene codes for a single protein. The Human Genome project completed in 2002 showed that this hypothesis is wrong.

The whole paradigm of the genetic engineering technology is based…
